"The game teaches you a lot about patience, which you need to be successful." Nate Jacobs (Wolfclan) Oneida Nation
After completion of the North American Indigenous Games in Six Nations, July 16-23, 2017, the Indigenous athletes, Managers, Coaches, Trainers, parents and families and supporters realized one thing, lacrosse is a great way to connect to the culture, history and traditions. Lacrosse was used to settle disputes and train warriors. Today, it has evolved to teach the value of community and teamwork and re-instill the pride in Indigenous identity.
