SSLS Financials to October 31-2019.JPG

Since the society was formed in 2017, activity has centred on specific initiatives that include research and delivery. Fundraising and financials in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 are included here. Note that the society was formed in October 2017 so the year end delivery follows the same pattern.

In 2018-2019, the society focused its fundraising efforts solely on athlete Callie Foreman (see attached spreadsheet), who attended the World U19 Women's Field Lacrosse Championships held in Peterborough, playing for Haudenosaunee Nationals.  The $3170.00 raised for Callie Foreman was e-transferred to her mother, Tanya, who accepted them on Callie's behalf. All funds went to cover Callie's travel and tournament fees. Haudenosaunee Nationals placed 12th out of 21 teams.

In October 2019, a fundraiser was held for the Team BC Female Development Squad that will be travelling to Halifax in July 12-18, 2020 to play at the North American Indigenous Games. These funds will be used to cover expenses such as rental of arenas, additional equipment, and uniforms not covered by the Indigenous Sport and Recreation Council of BC. Funds dedicated to Team BC Development Squad, $968.25 from October 31, 2019 and $750.00 from November 2019. Total amount raised, $1718.25 for Team BC Development Squad (see bottom to note specific funds for TEAM BC U19 Development Squad).

By the end of October 31, 2019, funds in account were $4846.30. Amount available for specific activities within the society beginning November 2019 is $3878.05.
